Hi, I’m Coach Bev

I am a mom of two originally from England, now living in Kenilworth on the northshore of Chicago!

As a mom in my 40’s I understand that juggling children, careers, family responsibilities and fitness can be hard. I am a passionate advocate of all things fitness and have seen first hand how strength training for women of all ages is critical not only for our health and wellness but also for the increase in self confidence it brings.

Prior to becoming a coach and personal trainer I spent 20 years in the corporate world coaching high performance in sales and marketing teams for large branded food businesses.

After having my second child, the struggle to juggle a corporate job with lots of travel and two small children led me to make a change and pivot into a new career.

The key element I have always loved at work has been helping people realize their potential and exceed their goals. This coupled with my lifelong passion for fitness led to my career flip into personal training and fitness coaching.

I am an experienced coach, yoga teacher, crossfit coach and I hold an olympic weightlifting certification. I love coaching women of all ages from teens to seniors - seeing their confidence skyrocket as they get stronger and their fitness level improves.

I create bespoke training plans to meet your needs - ensuring we start where you’re ‘at’ today and work with you to get you where you want to go!

I would love to hear more about your goals >

FAQs

Do i have to be fit to start training with you ?

Absolutely not. Training plans are curated to start at your current fitness/ strength level and we work forwards from there. There is no right level to be at to start, the most important thing is to get started. I take pride in creating a zero judgment, safe space to try new things.

Do you only train women ?

I coach both men and women in group classes but specialize in women’s personal training on a one to one basis. While strength and fitness is applicable for all, there are many elements of female fitness considerations that are unique - post partum, menopause and the impact of hormones throughout all ages all play a part in the way our physiology responds to training.

What ages do you coach ?

I coach all ages from young teens through to seniors. Each age group often has unique challenges and goals so it is great to be able to create bespoke plans to meet their needs

I have an injury - can i still have personal training ?

With any injury it is always best to get medical advice/sign off before embarking on any new fitness plan. That being said, as the fitness plans are bespoke, i can curate something that is tailored to work with or around your injury.

How often do you recommend working out each week ?

I would always recommend to workout at least 3 times per week. Commonly clients like to front phase a program with slots 3 times per week to start with. That way they create a habit before starting to do more of the slots independently over time. It is also the case that some clients workout in other ways at other times of the week. Once again it is totally unique to the individual.

What if i can’t do something ?

Every movement can be customized to your level. There is no correct level to be at, simply where we are today and where we want to get to

How much will it cost ?

Costs vary based on the number of people, number or sessions and location. If you send across some contact info I can give you some guidance based on your individual needs.

What days are you available ?

I try to be as flexible as possible to work with your schedule. In order to make this work i limit the number of clients i take on at any one time.

Drop me a contact form across and i can better share timings and availability

I am nervous about getting bulky from lifting weights do i have to do strength training ?

This is a question/ concern I get from women all the time. Building big muscles is not something that happens by accident. It takes years of relentless training, meticulous dietary control and sustained deliberate effort to achieve that look.

As with everything it is a balance that is important.

Strength training is critical for women to protect against muscle degeneration as we age. It is also a brilliant way to reboot your metabolism and burns many more calories than cardio. Drop me a contact form below and I can share some more info…
